The PIDM is defined in SPRIDEN. It is the primary key for person-centric data tables in Banner. Ideally, the PIDM should never change. The design of Banner is such that the Banner ID can be easily changed without affecting the linkages between the tables (i.e., the PIDM qua primary key).
